More About Me
Before I joined the faculty of California State University, Chico in 2014, I performed post-doctoral research in the laboratory of Patrick Gunning at the University of Toronto. I joined the lab shortly after graduating with my Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2012. Prior to that I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in chemistry as a member of the Bell Honors Program in 2006. While at Georgia Southern I played NCAA Division I softball for my entire collegiate career. And before that I lived in Florida, Arizona, Colorado and Ohio.
When I’m not in the lab or teaching, I’m taking in all that Chico has to offer with my husband, Paul. I absolutely love participating in various team sports, especially softball (of course), volleyball and soccer. In the winter I also love to snowboard, and year-round I enjoy any Super Mario, Zelda or Just Dance game for the Wii. Additionally, I recently acquired a Canon EOS Rebel T4i camera so I now have the means to thoroughly pursue my hobby of photography. Last, but not least, I am grateful for the love and support of my family (you can learn more about them here), and for the infinite blessings in my life from God.
For your benefit (and mine), I’ve provided links to various resources which I find quite useful to my life as a chemist.
